This is a video of Yogi Bhajan giving instruction in a really important meditation, Sodarshan Chakra Kriya, a meditation I have been doing for 5 years.  I'll have more to say about it another time.  In the meantime, it is great for stress -- if you feel fear or a sense of being overwhelmed, this kriya can strengthen your nervous system so that you can manage your life with greater consciousness and grace.  Give it a try!  The video seems to go dark at around minute 7.  Sorry about that!  Still worth listening to.

I have worked as a teacher for many years, primarily in public high schools.  Public high schools, to me, are the most complex systems to be found in the world today.  I haven't visited high schools in other countries (that would be fun!), but American high schools certainly seem necessarily to contain aspects that create complexity:

I am a big fan of journaling -- I think it helps one process the present and the past simultaneously. A few years ago, I engaged in a formal process of journaling developed by Ira Progoff called "A Journal Workshop." He wrote a book detailing the theory which is pretty good. But the real genius is in the Journal Workshops themselves -- they are designed to help a person remain in the present (the process of writing does that) while helping them access their souls, their depth, their wishes and dreams and fears, through the very neutrally stated "topics."
